Howard Medical heads to HIMSS 2019 with best-in-class point-of-care solutions designed to enhance the patient experience.
Howard Medical, an elite manufacturer and distributor of point-of-care medical carts, kiosks, telehealth solutions and patient bedside technologies, will be at HIMSS booth #3212, February 11-15, offering one-on-one technology consultations to demonstrate how the patient experience can be improved.
Howard Medical uses the latest technology to create environments that empower healthcare professionals, raise performance levels, and increase patient satisfaction. They believe that easing workflows at the point of care enhances productivity and results in better patient care. At HIMSS this year, they will be demonstrating customizable solutions that can improve the patient experience and make daily work challenges a lot less challenging.
According to Brian Swistak, Vice President of Medical Sales, “It’s our core belief that the right technology not only helps to improve job performance, but it can also have a tremendous effect on a patient’s perception of care. This year at HIMSS, we’ll demonstrate healthcare solutions that lead to real patient satisfaction.”
Howard Medical offerings include products designed to support a multitude of hardware and software applications that make life easier for both patients and healthcare workers. Their self-service kiosks enable patients to check-in without having to wait in line, confirm demographic and insurance information, make payments, and more. This process promotes patient privacy and contributes to a positive patient experience. Howard also offers Telehealth and Telemedicine solutions that give patients access to specialists and mental health providers without having to travel to different facilities, a benefit that has the potential to save US hospitals and their patients more than 6-billion dollars annually.
Additional technology applications that improve the patient experience include digital signage and wayfinding kiosks, sound-masking solutions, and cameras for face-to-face time with physicians, family, and friends; conveniently placed charging stations and hospital-owned mobile devices that allow patients to control their room environment (light, TV, temperature, etc.), see upcoming events, check vital signs, and get additional information about their visit.
Brian Swistak said, “HIMSS is a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase the great variety of healthcare solutions we offer, and, as always, we look forward to networking with other industry professionals who are focused on transforming healthcare through technology.”
